Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC seeks a Shop Helper to support drilling construction projects by handling stock, tool control and warehouse duties.

Responsibilities include assembling and welding drill tools, organizing inventory, shipping orders, and operating a forklift/front end loader. Must have CDL, welding skills, and strong mechanical aptitude. This full-time on-site role offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years warehousing, construction, general laborer or mechanics experience preferred.
• Valid CDL license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate forklift and front-end loader.
• Welding and strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Good communication, initiative and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fill stock orders by selecting tools from inventory.
• Arrange shipping of stock orders to job sites by phone and online.
• Check-in daily FedEx shipment.
• Assemble and weld drill tools.
• Perform minor tool repairs.
• Keep warehouse organized and well maintained.
• Deliver materials and tools to job sites.
• Perform heavy lifting of equipment or tools.
• Scrap broken or obsolete tools.
• Maintain inventories, unload/load trucks, stock shelves.
• Operate forklift and front end loader.
• Assist with annual inventory processing.
• Support fabrication shop labor tasks.

About this Role – Shop Helper

We are looking for a talented Shop Helper that has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for providing a wide variety of shop and tool control support to drilling construction projects.

What You’ll Do

• Fill stock orders by selecting and pulling the proper tools from inventory
• Arrange shipping of stock order to job sites over the phone and online
• Check-in daily FedEx shipment
• Assembly and welding of drill tools
• Perform minor tool repairs
• Make sure tools in warehouse are organized and well maintained
• Deliver materials and tools to job sites
• Perform heavy lifting of equipment or tools
• Scrap broken and or obsolete tools
• Perform Warehouse work such as maintaining inventories, unloading and loading trucks, stocking shelves, operating a Forklift and Front End Loader
• Assist with the processing of annual inventory information
• Performs routine organizing, cleaning, maintaining and other general laborer responsibilities for the fabrication shop
