Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Shop Hand to support maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of vehicles and equipment in Huntington Beach, CA. This full-time, non-exempt role requires reliable, safety‑minded individuals who can work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with routine shop duties, inventory control, forklift operation, and basic mechanical tasks while collaborating with mechanics and technicians to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general shop duties, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
• Support inventory management by tracking, stocking, and organizing supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in supply management, ensuring necessary parts and materials are readily available for technicians.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials and tools as needed.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks, including assisting with equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Help maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and assist in safety management to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Think critically and problem-solve to support shop operations and efficiency.
• Work closely with mechanics and technicians to support daily workflow and operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Type & Work Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $17.00- $20.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
