We are seeking a Shop Helper for our Liberty, TX location.
Blessey Marine Services, Inc. owns and operates one of the youngest multi-faceted inland tank barge and vessel fleets in the United States.
Work under immediate supervision to learn and become proficient in the aspects of engine repair and service.
Reports to: Shop Supervisor
Supervises: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Will have exposure to "field" environments, such as barge fleet, warehouse, shipyard, vessel, etc.
This position requires driving a vehicle as necessary for errands and business related meetings. Employee and/or applicant must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History check and possess and maintain a current valid driver's license in their state of residence.
Requires occasional travel (once or twice each month) by automobile or airplane.
