Job summary

U-Haul Shop Helper is a hands-on role requiring no prior experience, with opportunities for advancement within the repair shop. You’ll learn the inner workings of the shop, using U-Haul proprietary tech to care for field vehicles and play a part in keeping our large fleet well-maintained for our customers.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Physical demands include moving a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Use specialized equipment to dismount, balance and mount tires.
• Maintain and recycle batteries.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Use machinery to turn brake rotors and drums.
• Rebuild trailer components including brake systems and equalizers.
• Assist shop personnel.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
