Aerotek is hiring a Shop Hand in Sedro-Woolley, WA to support fabrication, painting, and assembly of steel structures. Training into a welding role is available as you learn a range of tasks including material handling, painting, and finishing in an industrial setting.

This contract-to-hire position offers day, swing, and weekend shifts on a 4x10 schedule with overtime. Applicants should have a high school diploma and 2+ years of general trades experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or vocational degree.
• 2+ years of general trade experience in siding, roofing, metalworking, or assembly.
• Ability to select and operate proper tools for tasks.
• Read tape measure to 1/16 inch.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Quality Assurance Program.
• Use hand and power tools to clean and prep steel.
• Handle materials efficiently and safely.
• Read and understand work orders and project task codes.
• Mix and prepare paint coatings following proper procedures.
• Apply paints and coatings according to procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Accurately record quality data on cleaning and coating reports.
• Clean and maintain the factory work areas and bathrooms.

Hiring for Shop Hands opportunity to train into a welding role

Pay : $22 - $26 per hour

Shift : Day, Swing & Weekend shift (4*10 hour schedule & OT)

The core mission of the Shop Hand is to support the fabrication, painting, and assembly of steel building structures in an industrial manufacturing atmosphere. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to learn a range of tasks necessary for each project scope, including material handling, fabrication work, assembly work, painting, and cleaning. The ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions is essential.

Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sedro-Woolley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
