Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Welder to perform high-quality MIG welding on custom parts in a Lake City, MN shop. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, and weld mild steel with occasional stainless and aluminum, ensuring welds meet precise specifications.

The role is contract to hire and fully onsite, with a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, a 401(k) plan, life insurance, disability coverage, HSA, transportation benefits, EAP, and PTO.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience or a technical degree in welding.
• Ability to perform MIG welding on mild steel, with exposure to stainless steel and aluminum.
• Minimum of 6 months of blueprint reading experience gained on the job or in school.

Job Title: Welder

Job Description

This position focuses on performing high-quality welding on custom parts in a dynamic job shop environment. You will primarily use MIG welding on mild steel, with some work on stainless steel and aluminum. Using blueprints and technical drawings, you will produce precise welds to specification and may also assist with assembling parts and products prior to welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on custom parts, primarily using mild steel, with occasional stainless steel and aluminum work.
• Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to complete welds to exact specifications.
• Set up welding equipment and workstations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect materials and welded components to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication machines such as cutting, forming, or machining equipment.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly of metal components.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake City, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
