Job summary

Silvertip Completion Services in Midland, TX, is seeking a shop assistant to support loading/unloading of supplies and equipment, and to help clean and maintain the shop and yard. The role includes installing and testing equipment, and may involve delivering parts using a trailer.

You will operate basic shop tools and equipment as needed. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of shop experience, a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of shop experience.
• Must pass pre-employment screening and job-relevant checks.
• You MUST BE 21 or OLDER.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Housing not available.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Exposure to outdoor and extreme weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work any schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and equipment.

• May be required to operate forklifts, pressure washers, test pumps, and other shop equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Know, understand, and observe ALL company safety policies, and best practices.
• Ability to recognize and manage hazards.
• Ability to demonstrate safe work habits.
• Willing to offer support and assistance to other employees in the shop. Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.

• Must have flexibility to work any schedule based on business needs, including weekends, and be on a -call rotation.
• Must pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Primary work environment is in the shop. Exposure to possible shop hazards considered typical in an industrial environment. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Standing 80% of the time, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, hammering, and heavy lifting, pushing and pulling while handling material.
