Job summary

Well Werks Energy Llc is seeking a hard-working Shop Hand in Oklahoma to help keep our field equipment and shop in top condition. You will clean, maintain, and assist with rebuilding equipment and support yard operations.

This safety-sensitive role requires good communication, basic math, and mechanical ability. You may operate forklifts with certification and perform routine inspections and paperwork in accordance with SOP and HSE procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
  • Excellent English verbal/written communication.
  • Mechanical abilities and basic math.
  • Familiar with field tools and equipment.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate yard needs with Yard/Shop Manager.
  • Maintain and repair equipment; keep shop/yard clean.
  • Load/unload trailers as required.
  • Inspect equipment for defects and hazards.
  • Assist with rig-ups/downs and tool maintenance.
  • Follow safety rules; complete JSA paperwork.
  • Wear PPE and keep records updated.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: A Shop Hand assists with safely and efficiently cleaning, maintaining and rebuilding company equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized shop and yard.This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate with Yard/Shop Manager as to yard needs.Maintain, clean, pressure wash, paint, and repair all company equipment.Load/Unload trailers with necessary equipment and supplies.Installs, repairs, removes and maintains various company tools and equipment, and exhibit proficiency within a six month period.Willingly utililize various company-supplied resources such as email.Must be able to receive certifications to operate forklifts. Telehandlers, man lifts, and other necessary equipment.Accurately inspects all iron and equipment for defects, washed out parts, etc.Assist with Rig-Ups/Downs as needed.Maintain a clean shop and yard to include, but not limited to sweeping, picking up trash, power washing pad, etc.Observes safe working practices, safety rules, and regulations by adhering to correct SOP & HSE procedures. Initiates job safety analysis (JSA) procedures and hazard recognition practices prior to any job task. Corrects hazards immediately or reports to the Field Operations Manager, District Manager, and/or HSE Manager.Communicate effectively with employees, the client representative and/or other third party service companies.Ensures the accurate completion of all paperwork including, but not limited to, JSA, Rig-Up & Rig- Down Sheets, Job Checklist, and Loadout Forms.Wears appropriate PPE as required.Participates in all JSA meetings as required.Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential.Maintains records and receipts.Submits all timesheets and approved reimbursements in an accurate and timely manner.Comply with Attendance Standards.Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Must be proficient with a computer/laptop including Company applications (iScout, Paycom, etc.).Ability to work and drive-in all-weather conditions.Ability to operate hand tools.Basic math skills.Must have mechanical abilities.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Familiar with tools and equipment utilized by company, preferred.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:A High School Diploma or General Education Degree GED preferredOne plus years’ experience in oilfield work, or related field preferredMust maintain a safe driving record as prescribed by company policy.Must successfully pass pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy.Must be able to perform each essential duty to assigned standards.
