United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Shop Foreman in Austin, TX to lead Service Technicians and supervise maintenance of a diverse fleet. You will drive efficiency, ensure safety, and collaborate with the Service/Branch Manager to maximize location profitability.

With 5+ years of equipment repair experience and strong diagnostic ability, you will mentor staff, manage work orders, and occasionally travel to client sites. This role offers growth toward a Service Manager position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; trade-school degree a plus.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of equipment repair/maintenance experience.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and tools knowledge.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for various systems.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of Service Technicians.
• Train and supervise mechanical personnel when necessary.
• Responsible for safe maintenance and repair of a variety of rental equipment.
• Diagnose and supervise the repair of equipment to ensure efficient work.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic work orders daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
