Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Shop Foreman to supervise technicians in repairing and maintaining rental equipment. You will coordinate workload in the Service Department for efficiency and quality, and advise on skills and training needs.

The role reinforces Sunbelt Rentals' core values and aims to optimize repairs and service delivery. Key duties include training technicians, inspecting repairs for quality, improving operations, and ensuring seamless customer service while directing yard staff

Qualifications

Trade school or college degree (bachelor or associates) preferred.
Valid Driver’s license required.
Proven supervisory experience in a service or rental setting.
5+ years of mechanical experience within rental or similar industry.
Strong customer relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Instruct, assist and train service technicians in best practices of equipment repair and safety.
Perform inspections of completed repairs to ensure quality of work.
Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and streamline processes.
Coordinate with other areas to provide quality customer service.
Direct service technicians and yard staff in daily operations.
Schedule service and maintenance and respond to breakdowns with road technicians.
Monitor repairs and assign to customers, suppliers or profit center.
Assist in training, planning and directing work; address complaints and resolve conflicts.
Other duties assigned by manager.
