Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is looking for a Shop Foreman to help lead a maintenance team and ensure equipment is maintained and repaired to high standards.

You will work closely with the Service/Branch Manager to build a profitable location using leadership and maintenance expertise. Responsibilities include coordinating technicians, supervising maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient operations at customer sites when required.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of Service Technicians.
• Train and supervise mechanical personnel when necessary.
• Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment.
• Diagnose and supervise the repair of equipment to ensure work is performed efficiently.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Other duties assigned as needed
