Job summary
United Rentals is seeking a Shop Foreman in Knoxville to lead a maintenance team and optimize the repair and upkeep of a wide range of rental equipment. You will collaborate closely with the Service/Branch Manager to maximize productivity and profitability through strong leadership and technical expertise.
The role requires a high school diploma (trade-school a plus), 5+ years of gear maintenance experience, and the ability to own your toolkit.
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics/diagrams.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities of Service Technicians.
- Train and supervise mechanical personnel as needed.
- Oversee safe maintenance and repair of diverse rental equipment.
- Diagnose and supervise equipment repairs for efficiency.
- Maintain work orders and documentation daily.
- Travel to customer sites for repairs when required; keep service vehicle tidy and professional.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
