Job summary

Sound FX Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to lead technicians and manage workflow in a high-volume shop. This hands-on leadership role requires deep vehicle knowledge and the ability to keep projects moving while ensuring workmanship meets Sound FX standards.

You’ll mentor a team, assign daily tasks, and troubleshoot complex issues, maintaining safety and quality throughout every project.

Qualifications

• Significant professional automotive technician or mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
• Previous leadership, foreman, shop management, or lead-technician experience.
• The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• The ability to assign work effectively based on technician strengths and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and mentor our team of automotive technicians.
• Assign daily projects based on technician skills and workload.
• Manage workflow and keep projects on track.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance when challenges arise.
• Diagnose complex vehicle and installation issues.
• Perform quality-control inspections before delivery to customers.
• Train technicians and develop their skills.
• Identify opportunities to improve shop processes and efficiency.
• Coordinate with sales and management on project status and scheduling.
• Communicate delays and needs before they become problems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe working environment.
