Job summary

Interconnect Wiring in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Material Specialist to inspect parts, manage material transactions in Syspro, and uphold the Quality Management System. You will issue materials, kit jobs, and coordinate nonconforming material with suppliers.

The role requires at least a year of experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with email, Windows, Office, MRP systems, typing and 10-key. Physical ability to stand/walk up to 75% of the day is expected.

Responsibilities

• Inspect component parts to establish conformance to drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Evaluate and ensure all required inspection reports and conformance certifications are received with incoming lots of material.
• Perform materials related transactions in the MRP system (Syspro) including issuing material, kitting jobs, RTVing material, unissuing material, and stock takes.
• Understand and comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System.
• Segregate and document nonconforming material; communicate nonconformities to suppliers and coordinate returns.
• Maintain and report accurate materials inventory and records; interface with engineering, planning and manufacturing to assist in inspections.

Job Description

• Inspect component parts using measuring devices such as calipers, etc. to establish conformance to drawings, specifications, and/or standards
• Evaluate and ensure all required inspection reports and conformance certifications are received with incoming lots of material
• Perform materials related transactions in the MRP system (Syspro) including
• Issuing material
• Kitting jobs
• RTVing material
• Unissuing material
• Performing stock takes
• Understand and comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System
• Segregate and document clearly and accurately all nonconforming material
• Communicate instances of nonconformity to suppliers and coordinate the return of nonconforming material
• Maintain and report accurate materials inventory and keep accurate records
• Interface with engineering, planning and manufacturing personnel to assist in the efficient inspection and issuance of component parts

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience
