Role Description

The Shop Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Tallapoosa, GA. This position oversees daily shop operations, including scheduling and prioritizing repair and maintenance work for compact and concrete construction equipment. The Shop Foreman coordinates and guides technicians, ensures work orders are completed accurately and on time, and maintains high standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, verifying repairs, managing parts and inventory, and keeping the shop organized and compliant with company procedures. The role also involves communicating with customers and internal staff about job status, providing technical insight, and supporting training and development for shop personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining compact construction and concrete equipment.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of technicians in a busy shop environment.
• Experience managing work orders, scheduling jobs, and maintaining accurate service and repair documentation.
• Knowledge of shop safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Basic computer skills for using service software, email, and inventory systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics or related fields is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a foreman, lead technician, or supervisor in equipment repair or a similar industry is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and parts as required and work on-site in a shop setting.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay will be based on Experience Min $28 - Max $48 Per Hour
