Dave Wright Auto in Iowa is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead our high-volume service department. Immediate opening for a technician with leadership potential to oversee dispatching and workflow, coach service advisors, and drive team performance.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a career-oriented mindset ready to guide a team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technician with leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
• Knowledge of technician dispatching and how a busy shop operates.
• Outgoing, approachable personality with strong communication.
• Clear, effective communication and customer interaction skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and manage service advisors and technicians.
• Strong problem solving and decision making under pressure.
• Attention to detail and organized work habits.
• Reliable and consistent performance with a team focus.
• Career-oriented with long-term growth in service leadership.
• Valid driver’s license for on-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage technician dispatching and shop workflow.
• Enforce processes and accountability within the team.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and manage service advisors to aid growth.
• Provide ongoing training to service department personnel.
• Evaluate performance, recognize achievements, and conduct one-on-one meetings.
• Motivate staff to reach their full potential and maintain high customer service scores.
• Assist guests professionally and courteously.
• Retain current customers and drive repeat business.
• Collaborate with other departments to reach common goals.

Shop Foreman Responsibilities
