Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer at our West Warwick facility. The role supports operations through process improvement, standard work, and Lean initiatives to boost safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance to identify opportunities and eliminate waste. The ideal candidate is shop-floor focused, with strong problem-solving abilities, leadership, and experience in Lean Manufacturing and data-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Lean certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Develop, maintain, and improve standard work instructions, process documentation, visual controls, and procedures; train employees on processes and improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles; lead root cause analysis and Kaizen events.
• Support projects to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and optimize tooling/workflow; identify barriers to performance with production leadership.
• Develop, track, and report KPIs (efficiency, scrap, downtime, productivity) and sustain safety and quality initiatives.
