Job summary

Frederick Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a motivated Shop Fabrication Technician to join our locally owned HVAC team. You will fabricate sheet metal ductwork, operate brakes, shears, rollers, and plasma table, and prepare ductwork for installation crews.

The role emphasizes craftsmanship, teamwork, and reliability. You should be able to read shop drawings, lift heavy materials, and contribute to a clean, safe shop environment while supporting installation teams to complete

Qualifications

• HVAC sheet metal fabrication experience preferred (training available).
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Fabricate sheet metal ductwork and HVAC fittings from shop drawings.
• Operate fabrication equipment including brakes, shears, rollers, Pittsburgh machines, and plasma table (if experienced).
• Assemble and prepare ductwork for installation crews.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Load materials and assist with inventory as needed.
• Work closely with installers to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
