Job summary

Power Motive Corporation seeks a Shop Technician to diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in our Phoenix shop. You will overhaul diesel motors and operate shop equipment to service trucks, generators, and other equipment, ensuring safe operation and timely maintenance.

You will diagnose failures, select parts, rebuild components, and collaborate with customers while supporting sales and parts teams to drive service revenue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in Heavy Equipment
• Educational background/Certification in Heavy Equipment repairs
• Forklift operator certification or ability to be certified (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand parts and service books
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Diagnose all machine systems and components.
• Determine appropriate parts necessary.
• Change or rebuild machine components, as needed.
• Operate pressure-washing equipment to clean machinery.
• Perform basic welding, cutting, and grinding.
• Change oil and filters on machinery.
• Change ground engaging gear and attachments on machinery.
• Maintain service records for machines.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Perform other duties as required.
