Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Shop assistant part time in Fairfield, IA to support the Mold Shop and Production team. The role offers a day shift, on-site work, and a starting pay of $20 per hour.

You will help polish molds, assist mold makers, manage inventory, and deliver molds within a 2-mile radius while utilizing a forklift as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and a willingness to learn daily shop operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Self-motivated team player who can make decisions, communicate effectively, and problem solve.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.

Responsibilities

• Polish molds and drill vents to support production readiness.
• Assist mold makers with general shop tasks, including sweeping metal chips from CNC machines, taking out the garbage, and sweeping out the sand blasting room.
• Check in inventory, break down boxes and pallets, and prep molds for delivery.
• Deliver molds to customers within a 2 mile radius of the shop; must have a valid driver’s license.
• Utilize a forklift to unload and load deliveries as needed.

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Shop assistant part time to join their team. As a Shop assistant part time, you will be part of the Production team supporting the Mold Shop.
