Job summary

Lee Industrial Contracting in Pontiac, MI is seeking a versatile Field Equipment Technician to support equipment delivery, inspection, and maintenance across on-site and field environments.

You will coordinate deliveries, assist with fueling and servicing equipment, organize inventory, and help other departments as needed while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have mechanical experience, strong teamwork, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience in a hands-on setting is required.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work with diverse personalities and teams.
• Self-directed with initiative to complete tasks.
• Eagerness to learn about skilled trades and processes.
• Comfort working in both shop and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform deliveries of equipment and material to customer sites as needed.
• Assist in inspecting, fueling, and maintaining equipment, tooling, and vehicles.
• Complete employee vehicle preparation inspections.
• Organize, count, and stock inventory.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Wash and clean vehicles and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
• Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
• Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
• Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
• Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
