Job summary

Lee Industrial Contracting in Holly, MI is seeking a versatile warehouse associate to support material handling, shipping, and onsite logistics. You will load and unload vehicles, organize inventory, and prep orders for delivery while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a willingness to work with foremen and apprentices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Some mechanical ability and aptitude to operate manual equipment.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping documentation.
• Prior experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment preferred.
• Prior inventory management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Load and unload work vehicles daily to streamline department productivity
• Organize, count and stock inventory
• Verify quantity and quality of the received order by comparing invoices to company purchase orders
• Wrap, pack, and prepare materials for shipping
• Deliver and retrieve material to and from job sites and/or internal departments
• Fuel and wash vehicles
• Assist Foremen and Apprentices on job sites
• Provide overlap coverage for in other departments as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
• Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
• Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
• Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
• Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
