Salary Range: $22.41 to $28.77 hourly depending on experience
Position Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Shop Installer Technician to support our Fleet division in San Leandro, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a hands‑on career in diesel, refrigeration, or fleet maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within a fast‑paced shop environment.
- Assist with the installation of Thermo King vehicle-powered (VP) and auxiliary power units (APU) on trucks, tractors, and vans.
- Support senior technicians with mechanical installations, component mounting, basic wiring, and system setup.
- Follow installation guidelines, safety procedures, and quality standards to ensure all work meets Sonsray expectations.
- Perform basic shop tasks such as tool organization, parts staging, and work area cleanup.
- Learn proper use of hand and power tools in a shop environment.
- Accurately document work performed as directed by the Service Manager or lead technician.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations and dealership objectives.
