Job summary

NOVA Parks is seeking a Trap Attendant to assist with the operation, appearance and maintenance of the Bull Run Shooting Center range in Centreville, VA. This role supports safe shooting practices and friendly public service.

The attendant will pull targets, score, load machines, stock supplies, assist customers with rentals, greet visitors, answer inquiries, and help maintain clean facilities. Uniforms are provided and scheduling may include early/late hours, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must complete Bull Run Shooting Center Range Safety Officer course.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
• Experience with shooting range equipment and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Uniform provided as standard.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of the game field and verify shooters' knowledge.
• Assist with operations: pull targets, score, load target machines, stock storage, clean areas.
• Assist at the sales counter with rental guns and equipment returns.
• Greet visitors, handle inquiries, inform patrons of rules and regulations.
• Answer telephone and direct inquiries.
• Maintain appearance of the Shooting Center and clean work areas, restrooms, and grounds.
• Perform routine minor maintenance as directed.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training.
• Report broken equipment or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
