Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of prior weapons training.
• One or more years of experience as a Range Safety Officer preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, lower, carry, push, or move objects up to 80 lbs; work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Design stages, courses of fire and tournament schedules; perform safety briefings.
• Supervise competitors and scorekeepers; provide guidance and support.
• Build targets, barricades and stands; coordinate range setup and breakdown; verify safety checks.
• Assist with registration, squadding, waivers, and compiling final match scores or reports.
• Mediate disputes or rule interpretations; shield front-line staff from competitor friction.
• Work in a busy training environment with interruptions; may require extended or weekend hours; exposure to heat, cold, humidity and PPE as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
