Job summary

Scheels in Johnstown, CO is seeking a part-time shoe department associate to help move inventory, assist customers, and maintain store operations. The role emphasizes teamwork, ownership mindset, and delivering a WOW customer experience.

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour, with an average schedule of 15-20 hours weekly and occasional evenings and weekends, plus ESOP and employee discounts. Responsibilities include restocking, processing returns, helping in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe areas,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 1–3 months of related retail or sales experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates
• Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe departments as needed
• Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance
• Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift
• Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization
• The ability to perform basic calculations
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Education
