Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc is seeking a Millwright Machinist to assist in supervising the installation of machinery and related components. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a shipyard environment.
This role includes operating metalworking tools, providing technical assistance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The successful candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and able to lift and handle heavy materials.

Assist in the supervision and coordination of activities of workers engaged in the installation of propulsion machinery, sea valves, steering gear, anchor handling equipment, pumps, ventilating equipment, and related components. Work with other crafts as instructed by supervision.
Regularly required to communicate; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be physically and medically qualified to wear all required PPE, work above ground at heights of at least 50 feet, work from scaffolding or man‑lifts, and work in confined spaces and withstanding extreme heat and cold in an outdoor climate.
Employees may be exposed to electrical shock, moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, continuous loud noise, and other hazards found in a heavy industrial shipyard environment. Rigorous compliance with safety procedures, policies, and personal safety equipment requirements is mandatory.
