SHIPYARD RIGGER/OUTSIDE MACHINIST

Thames Shipyard and Repair is seeking a reliable and hardworking shipyard rigger/outside machinist to join one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, 2 weeks of vacation, 401K, and a full-time position.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
• Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
• Overtime available Monday-Saturday
• Double time available on Sundays

Responsibilities:

• Removing shafts, rudders, and bearings
• Working from scissor and boom lifts
• Working in confined spaces with limited access through an eighteen-inch hatch
• Climbing ladders
• Heavy lifting

Requirements:

• Pre-employment drug test
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Willing and able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
