Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of equipment used in rigging operations, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Knowledge of shipyard terminology such as general ship structure and vessel layout.
  • Thorough knowledge of USA Standard hand signals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Must be technically proficient in tasks, work processes, and safe use of rigging equipment.
  • Set up crane hoisting equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization on assigned job sites.
  • Identify and resolve small problems during day-to-day tasks.
  • Monitor the job site for compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
