Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Kittery, Maine, is seeking Manufacturing Technicians to support the Alteration Industrial Team (AIT). The role covers multiple trades including welders, electricians, pipefitters, shipfitters, machinists, and sheetmetal workers with preference for electrical trades.

You will read blueprints and perform shipboard/manufacturing tasks to support new construction and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, and manufacturing.
• 1+ years of electrical experience.
• 4+ years of electrical experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of SP/SSP’s, DIs and SIs.
• Minimum of 1 year working in an industrial marine environment.
• RADCON, and QA experience in maritime environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform submarine shipboard and manufacturing work to support new construction and maintenance efforts.
• Read blueprints and use math to establish ship lines for installation.
• Willingness to learn new skills and apply training.
• Collaborate with on-site supervision and AIT team to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Travel to offsite locations to support coordination and oversight.
