Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. seeks skilled machinists to install, align, and assemble propulsion machinery, valves, and related equipment in a shipyard setting. You will plan, fabricate, and install foundations, ensuring components meet exact specifications and tolerances.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years in turning and milling, CNC experience preferred, and the ability to read Blueprints and measuring devices. ABS certification readiness is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus three years’ experience on manual, vertical, and horizontal machines in a machine shop environment.
• CNC experience is desired; knowledge of ship terminology and OSHA/ABS standards.
• Must pass SMAW welding test to become ABS certified.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Set up and operate machine tools to manufacture parts per specifications.
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
