Job summary
Saronic Technologies Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and validate the shipyard’s physical manufacturing system. You will create layouts, determine footprints, and develop capacity models to optimize throughput and automation readiness.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in IE/related field and 5+ years of layout or manufacturing-system design experience, with strong flow optimization skills and cross-functional collaboration aptitude.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design.
- Strong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy.
- Define building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverage.
- Establish square footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub-assembly, block assembly, and pre-outfitting.
- Develop capacity and throughput models.
- Ensure layouts support automation-first processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance.
