Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and validate the physical manufacturing system of the shipyard. You will develop building layouts, flow paths, square footage needs, and capacity models across major shipyard functions.

This role requires collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance to ensure throughput optimization and automation-enabled production. Strong background in facility layout and 3D modeling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar
• 5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design
• Strong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy
• Define building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverage
• Establish square footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub-assembly, block assembly, and pre-outfitting
• Develop capacity and throughput models
• Ensure layouts support automation-first processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance
