Job summary

Global - a 1st Flagship Company in the Norfolk area seeks an experienced Shipwright to build staging, install shrink-wrap, and support shipyard preservation projects at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. This role requires hands-on labor and the ability to work at height across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years in shipwright, carpentry, or staging, a current DoD Secret clearance, and familiarity with scaffolding and shrink-wrap systems.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 4+ years in shipwright, carpentry, or staging work.
• 2+ years of experience on U.S. Navy surface ship or submarine platforms.
• Knowledge of scaffolding and shrink-wrap systems.
• Ability to work at high heights.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.

Note:

This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.
