Job summary

Pilgrim’s Arcadia, WI is seeking a Shipping/Warehouse Team Member to support inventory control, palletizing, and forklift operations in a cold environment. You will use handheld scanners to track product, load trucks, and keep areas clean.

This role includes a Sunday-Thursday schedule with 3:00 am–12:00 pm shifts, and benefits such as vision, medical and dental coverage after 60 days, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match. Safety is a core value at Pilgrim’s.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld scanner to inventory and palletize product.
• Move and stack boxes weighing 45-50 pounds on pallets.

• Load trucks with equipment and products up to 50 pounds per case.
• Maintain clean work area and monitor basic sanitation.

Shipping/Warehouse Loader–Split Shift

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Shipping/Warehouse Team Member at our Pilgrim’s Arcadia, WI Complex. Our Shipping/Warehouse team members are responsible for use of hand-held scanner to properly inventory and palletize product, operate forklift and pallet jack safely, monitor x-ray process in a fast-paced, cold environment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the general operation and basic maintenance of the auto scale.
• Performs manual scaling at the re-weigh station, including its general operation and basic maintenance.
• Operates hand held scanner equipment to properly inventory and palletize product
• Constant repetition of stacking boxes weighing 45-50 pounds on pallets which are segregated by product code.
• Assists with rework by either repairing the cases or identifying them for return.
• Assures inventory accuracy by running and verifying inventory reports.
• Rotates stock as required.
• Operates forklift and pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Loads trucks both with equipment and by hand, which can vary in weight up to 50 pounds per case.
• Ability to fill customer orders accurately using handheld scanner equipment.
• Keeps area clean by performing daily general sanitation.
• Monitors x-ray process, making necessary adjustments.
• Reports shipping problems or concerns to Supervisor or Lead person immediately.
• Monitors process for partial cases to be worked into the process.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to obtain Pilgrim’s valid forklift license.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to learn new procedures, i.e. bar code scanner, hand held scanner equipment, etc.
• Basic Computer skills required.
• Ability to pass vision screening for PIT use.
