Job summary

Rovanco Piping Systems in Joliet, IL is seeking a Shipping Handler to record and verify shipment accuracy, load and unload carriers, and inspect deliveries for quality.

You will pull and stage materials, maintain inventory counts, operate a forklift per OSHA, and report equipment issues to the Warehouse Manager. The role includes PTO, health and dental insurance, HSAs/FSAs, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Maintain valid forklift certification.
• Knowledge of how to use small hand tools.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Record and verify the shipment against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries.
• Load / unload carriers quickly and safely.
• Check deliveries for poor packing and general condition; alert supervisor and take photos if needed.
• Pull and stage materials as directed by shift supervisor.
• Document leftover materials and return or stage for shipping, delivery, or destruction.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory counts for company and customer materials; perform year-end inventory.
• Keep warehouse areas neat and orderly.
• Operate forklift per OSHA requirements and training.
• Report equipment problems or needed preventive maintenance to Warehouse Manager.
• Maintain equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
