Job description

We are hiring a dependable, results-driven Shipping & Warehouse Attendant to support daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations. As a Shipping & Warehouse Attendant you will represent Sunnen Products Company in the delivery of precision honing equipment, engine rebuilding equipment, and tooling and abrasives. This is a hands‑on role ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse work, material handling, shipping & receiving, and forklift operation. The right candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship domestic and international orders accurately and on time.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and powered industrial equipment.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties including labeling, documentation, and staging freight.
• Prepare Bills of Lading, packing lists, and shipping paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, 49 CFR, and IATA shipping regulations.
• Receive materials, verify counts, and move inventory to designated warehouse locations.
• Use barcode scanners and Oracle ERP system to track inventory transactions.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Process customer returns (RMAs) and coordinate with Quality and Customer Service departments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and dock area.
• Operate high-bay equipment including turret picker and cranes as needed; schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers for outbound shipments.

Required Skills and Abilities

• High School diploma, GED, and/or applied trade school education.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• 1‑3 years of warehouse, shipping & receiving, or material handling experience.
• Forklift experience required (certification preferred, but Sunnen will provide training and certification).
• Hazardous material shipping or handling experience.
• Experience with Oracle ERP or similar inventory systems; high-bay warehouse or turret truck experience.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25‑50 lbs frequently.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
