Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Associate to ensure efficient staging, packaging, and shipping of attachments and parts. The role requires forklift operation, strong organization, and the ability to work in outdoor environments.

You will box, crate, label, and prepare shipments, build crates, and coordinate yard activities while ensuring accurate paperwork and safety compliance. OT may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift operation experience required.
• Basic math and reading comprehension.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments by boxing, crating, banding, and labeling attachments and parts.
• Build shipping crates and pallets as needed to support outgoing shipments.
• Ship parts using standard carriers parcel, LTL and truckloads.
• Stage and load/unload trailers, ensuring proper trailer selection and organization.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move attachments and materials safely in the yard.
• Coordinate yard activities, including traffic flow, check-in procedures, and communication with dock personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete shipping paperwork in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance on shipping equipment to ensure functionality.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including the use of PPE.
• Practice ergonomic safety procedures as outlined for the role.
• Collaborate with other team members across all shifts to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Communicate effectively with leads and supervisors about concerns or process improvements.
• Support other departments or take on additional duties as needed.
• Work overtime when required.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmet, and safety glasses.
