Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to manage outbound shipments, paperwork, and packing logistics on site in Ponca City, OK. You will lead shipping staff, coordinate carrier pickups, and ensure accurate records in company systems.

The role requires knowledge of shipping processes, experience directing teams, and the ability to train staff while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience in shipping duties.
• Provide work direction and act as supervisor in absence of manager.
• Train new and current employees.
• Understand the shipping process and movement of products.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
• Operate hand tools, machines and equipment with supervision.
• Collaborate as a productive team member in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Verify shipment info against bills of lading, invoices, or orders.
• Determine method of shipment and arrange carrier pickups.
• Affix shipping labels and prep packing slips.
• Assemble or select containers for items.
• Insert items into containers or re-pack as needed.
• Shrink wrap and secure shipments on pallets.
• Inspect outbound shipments for customer specs.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate forklift or hand-truck to move shipments.
• Record data in systems to track shipments.
• Plan carrier pickups per purchase orders.
• Train shipping staff and provide daily direction.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Sales on instructions.
• Update routing guides as needed.
