Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in West Jordan, UT is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to direct shipping personnel on the assigned shift, ensuring orders are filled correctly and distribution occurs on schedule.

You will adjust assignments to cover absenteeism, review documents for accuracy, maintain a clean work area, enforce work rules, and participate in disciplinary actions as needed. Preferred candidates have 2+ years of related experience, a high school diploma, and completion of formal management

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of formal management skills training program.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains and directs shipping personnel.
• Ensures that production orders are filled correctly and distribution of product is completed according to schedule.
• Makes adjustments in personnel assignments to cover absenteeism and emergencies.
• Reviews documents for accuracy; assists in identifying and eliminating errors.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Ensures employee compliance with work rules.
• Makes recommendations on disciplinary action and otherwise participates in the disciplinary action process as necessary.
• Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Performs other duties integral to the job, including attendance and operating rules.
