Job summary
Gosnaphop in West Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping operations and lead a team supporting national and international shipments. This working leadership role combines hands-on duties with supervision.
Based in an office next to the warehouse, you will develop schedules, coach staff, and improve processes, while ensuring on-time delivery and accurate paperwork. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of warehouse/shipping experience.
- Experience in a company that runs its own transportation or fleet.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily shipping activities and workflow.
- Supervise shipping administrative staff and warehouse personnel.
- Develop work schedules and monitor productivity.
- Coach and train team members with feedback.
- Improve shipping procedures to boost efficiency.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and prepare shipping docs.
- Plan upcoming truckloads and shipments.
- Work with providers to obtain competitive rates.
- Handle international shipments and documentation.
- Maintain safe, organized work areas.
