Job summary

AmeriBolt, based in the Southeast and Gulf Coast regions, seeks a Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping operations, coordinate with carriers, and ensure compliant, timely processing of shipments. You will supervise clerical staff and drivers, manage documentation, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics.

The role requires strong knowledge of shipping processes, supervisory experience, and proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel; Epicor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of shipping, logistics, and transportation processes.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills, including directing and supporting staff.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication with drivers, carriers, and internal departments.
• Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making for shipping issues and claims.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate shipping documentation and compliance.
• Ability to adjust to changes without compromising quality or performance.
• Mid-level computer skills including MS Outlook and Excel; Epicor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping clerks' activities, train staff, and address performance issues.
• Supervise drivers, ensure safety and adherence to schedules.
• Expedite orders with warehouse, carriers, and internal teams.
• Handle freight and parcel claims with truck carriers and UPS, with documentation and follow-up.
• Coordinate with Sales and Plating to align production and shipping priorities.
• Maintain communication with carriers to resolve delays or damages.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
• Enter shipping data into the ERP system and verify documentation.
