Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Shipping Department Supervisor to support the Shipping Department Manager and Operations Manager. The role involves coaching staff, coordinating daily shipping activities, and ensuring timely order fulfillment in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include leading kickoff meetings, monitoring orders, enforcing SOPs, and driving process improvements. A high school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree preferred, with 2+ years supervisory experience desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisor experience in a team setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and coaching ability are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows environments (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is expected.
• Ability to communicate clearly and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily attendance and performance reports.
• Lead team kick-off meetings.
• Monitor daily orders screen.
• Oversee breaks and welfare of staff.
• Author accident investigation reports.
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve problems.
• Make operational decisions to meet shipping cut-offs.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership to all department staff.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and compliance is maintained.
• Participate in planning and execution of shipping-related projects.
• Host kick-off meetings and coordinate team efforts.
• Monitor work flow to ensure timely shipment of orders.
• Attend meetings as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
