Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Shipping Supervisor in Olive Branch, Mississippi to lead daily shipping operations, ensuring accurate, on-time product movement from staging to loading trucks. The role requires coordinating with SAP coordinators, CS reps, and group leaders to meet delivery goals.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, organized 5S workplace, completing corrective actions, and managing shift handoffs and equipment status. Experience with SAP and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle shift handoffs and report equipment status and timekeeping.
• Oversee packaging and shipment coordination for engine overhaul kits and bulk components.
• Report KPI metrics and drive continuous improvement to reduce waste.

Your Contribution

Our Shipping Supervisor will direct daily activities of all personnel to enhance the overall efficiencies and accuracies of all processes required to obtain products in HU’s from staging locations and process through to loading trucks and shipping LTL.

• Assign work and maintain workflow at optimum levels for domestic and export shipments.
• Monitor reports for old orders, incomplete warehouse tasks, and goods issue not complete. Prioritize and coordinate with group leaders, SAP Coordinators, and customer service reps to schedule customer orders to meet delivery and productivity requirements.
• Timely completion of assigned Corrective Action Requests.
• Daily assignment and verification of aisles/areas for cleanup and 5S.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform Safety Observation Tour monthly.
• Perform disciplinary action as necessary to hold employees accountable.
• Maintain timely employee records concerning attendance and production performance.
• Perform effective shift handoff to include status of radios, harnesses, forklifts, scanners, overtime plans (stay late/arrive early assignments & report times that impact the next shift).
• Oversee packaging of engine overhaul kits per customer & production order requirements. Coordinate picking and shipment of bulk components and packaging items as necessary.
• Daily reporting of metrics on local SFM boards & daily operations meeting board. Implement actions to achieve department KPI’s. Implement new ideas and processes to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma. Some college classes in business or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to identify and solve problems, make decisions, and to work within assigned deadlines with a high attention to detail
• Must have excellent attendance/safety record
• Intermediate computer skills, especially in MS Office
• SAP experience preferred
• Ability to operate material handling equipment required in department is preferred.
