Job summary

Leggett Dynamics in Tracy, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage daily orders and coordinate across office and manufacturing teams.

You will prioritize orders, ensure correct loading, and communicate requirements to lead personnel, while supporting production scheduling and inventory planning.

Qualifications

  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work with people from different departments in an office and manufacturing environment.
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Must be a self-motivator/initiator.
  • Must be able to change from one task to another frequently.
  • Comply with all plant and safety rules, and company policies

Responsibilities

  • Review daily orders and prioritize.
  • Ensure correct products are loaded.
  • Communicate customer requirements to Lead personnel.
  • Determine whether to ship from production or inventory.
  • Make decisions regarding substitutions.
  • Work with Production Manager to generate a production schedule.
  • Assist in determining monthly inventory levels.
  • Aide in conducting quality checks on all returned goods.
  • Communicate with Traffic Dispatcher/6014 Personnel.
  • Coach and follow up on subordinates.
  • Ensure subordinates adhere to safety rules.
  • Adhere to safety, EEOC and OSHA policies.
  • Ensure equipment security
  • Housekeeping in shipping and warehouse area.
  • Responsible for communicating and assisting in the preventive and predictive maintenance in assigned area.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
  • Ensure quality of rolls and work is to standards.
  • Initiate Corrective and Preventive action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process and the system.
  • Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Should continuously observe the process in his/her area of responsibility and immediately notify the Traffic Manager of any suspected nonconformances.
