Quanex Building Products Corp. is seeking a Shipping Supervisor in Sioux Falls, SD to lead outbound operations and ensure on-time, in-full shipments. The role blends daily team leadership with proactive planning to maximize efficiency and throughput.

The successful candidate will manage the outbound execution plan, coordinate with transportation, and drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 with potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
• 1-2 years in a leadership role with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of SAP (EWM preferred), Excel, and reporting tools (Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Own outbound execution plan, balancing labor, volume, and dock availability.
• Prioritize workload based on commitments, customer urgency, and labor availability.
• Coordinate with transportation and customer service to ensure flow to carrier pickup.
• Manage team for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Ensure standard operating procedures are followed in outbound activities.
• Monitor and adjust daily progress.
• Lead daily wrap-ups to prepare for next shift.
• Perform root cause analysis for missed shipments.
• Communicate with planning, customer service, and transportation teams.
• Lead huddles to align commitments and workload distribution.
• Identify inefficiencies in outbound flow and lead continuous improvements.

Quanex is looking for a Shipping Supervisor to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30 pm.

We are seeking a strategic and data driven leader to lead and elevate outbound operations. This role blends day to day team leadership with proactive planning and execution to ensure outbound shipments are completed on time, in full, and with maximum efficiency.

Your Credentials:

• 3-5 years of experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
• 1-2 years in a leadership role with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of SAP (EWM preferred), Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
