Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Shipping Coordinator in Mounds View, Minnesota to support warehouse operations and shipping activities. The role requires moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with forklift operations to load and unload stock and materials.

You will maintain shipping/receiving records, monitor truck arrivals, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate with teammates while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
• At least 6 months of forklift experience; able to pass OSHA exams.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, transport and unload stock, parts, and materials.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all materials shipped out and received.
• Monitor scheduling board to determine when trucks will arrive.
• Cooperate with co-workers and be a team player.
• Manage changing priorities and stay focused after interruptions such as a delivery.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.

What Success Looks Like:

• Has moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Operates all forklifts to properly load, transport and unload stock, parts, and materials.

• Maintains accurate and complete records of all materials shipped out from and being received by the facility.
• Monitors scheduling board to determine when trucks will arrive.
• Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.
• Follows safety rules and procedures.

What You Bring:

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
• At least 6 months of forklift experience; ability to pass OSHA required practical and written exams.
• Strong organizational skills, with emphasis to details.

The starting hourly rate is $21.55 to $27.74, depending on experience, with the possibility of up to a $1 pay increase after 90 days.
