Job summary

Sazerac Co. is seeking a Shipping Supervisor at our 1792 Distillery in Kentucky to lead daily shipping, warehouse operations, and inventory accuracy.

You will drive process improvements, develop SOPs, and manage a high-performing team while emphasizing safety and customer service across the supply chain. This role focuses on optimizing throughput, mentoring staff, and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced distillery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, teams, or operational initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping, transportation, and warehouse operations to ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop SOPs, and optimize warehouse space, inventory flow, and shipment throughput.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, discrepancy resolution, and oversight of warehouse inventory processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the Warehouse Management System (WMS), training employees and supporting system-related needs.
• Foster a safe, productive, and engaging work environment through employee development, safety leadership, and operational excellence.

Job Description/Responsibilities

Join the team at 1792 Distillery, where you'll play a key role in ensuring our products move efficiently from warehouse to customer. As a Shipping Supervisor, you'll lead shipping and warehouse operations, drive process improvements, and develop a high-performing team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, inventory accuracy, and customer service. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on daily operations while contributing to the continued success of one of Kentucky's premier distilleries.

What You'll Do

Required:

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), distribution software, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience leading teams in a union environment.
• Supply chain, beverage, spirits, or consumer packaged goods industry experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work within warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout operational areas for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
