Job summary

Pilgrim in Omaha, NE is seeking an Operations Coordinator to read and analyze production schedules and reports to determine requirements and update estimates. The role emphasizes safety, SOP compliance with USDA/HACCP, and cross-functional teamwork with Traffic, Customer Service and Purchasing.

You will guide and assist shop floor staff, supervise supervisors, coordinate with third-party storage, and ensure accurate invoicing and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have relevant experience in operations or supply chain settings.
• Strong communication skills are essential for cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to work variable schedules, including weekends, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze production schedules and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
• Promote a safe environment following state, federal and company safety standards.
• Follow and enforce company SOPs in accordance with USDA/HACCP requirements
• Assist employees with jobs as necessary, lifting boxes, operating pallet jack or forklift, operating label machines, wrapping combos etc.
• Follow up on repairs or maintenance required, ensure all employee licenses and health checks are up to date .
• Oversee, motivate and manage supervisors and employees to guarantee highest productivity daily
• Communicate closely with Traffic and Customer Service departments as necessary.
• Sign out supplies for employees as necessary and ensure employees wear proper PPE .
• Work closely with Purchasing and Production to maintain and order dry ice and pallets as required
• Work closely with third party cold storage facilities to transfer products timely, complete orders and maintain inventories.
• Ensure orders are billed appropriately and work with Accounting to complete timely invoicing of completed orders.

Required Experience :

• Degree in operations management, supply chain management or related field preferred but not required
• Experience working in manufacturing , shipping or food production preferred but not required .
• Team oriented, Good Oral and Written Communication Skills.

Skills/Abilities Required :

• Capable of lifting boxes weighing up to fifty pounds .
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays & Sundays.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills .
• Be able to demonstrate patience and effective listening
• Must be highly motivated, responsible and organized .
