Boar's Head Brand is seeking a dedicated team member for a full-time shift-focused role in our Virginia facility. You will follow strict food safety and quality controls, coordinate with Planning and Transportation, and maintain daily work schedules and related paperwork.

The position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to SSOPs, GMPs and HACCP within a cold, damp environment. Candidates must meet physical requirements, be 18+, and work with minimal supervision as needed to ensure production needs

Qualifications

• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods.
• Able to lift and move 50–75 pounds with assistance if required.
• Available to work Monday to Friday with weekend work as production needs dictate.
• Work environment is cold and damp.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will adhere to proper manufacturing methods to sustain Food Safety and Quality expectations.
• Will collaborate and resolve issues quickly and efficiently focusing on our company's Core Values.
• Work closely with all departments including Planning, Transportation and outside vendors.
• Maintaining professional communication and interactions at all times.
• Responsible for scheduling and maintaining shift work schedule, working with management staff to plan daily workloads accordingly.
• Assembling all of the paperwork needed for the work day.
• Responsible for all incoming paperwork and documentation.
• Verify paperwork for accuracy and discrepancies.
• Distributes all related paperwork to appropriate person(s) or department(s).
• Filing and recordkeeping responsibility.
• Communication of any concerns with workloads and paperwork to appropriate person(s) or department(S).
• Assist with training/cross training teammates.
• Following proper SSOP’s, GMP’s, HACCP and other plant rules.
• Tasks completed in a timely manner.
• Capable of operating and knowing all distribution center equipment. Being able to identify technical issues and communicate to your supervisor or appropriate department.
• Duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
